WOOLSHED BLOCK Sauvignon Blanc 2012

- 5 Stars Michael Coopers Buyers Guide 2014. "The 2012 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard wine, fermented in seasoned oak barrels. Mouthfilling, it is vibrantly fruity and rich, with concentrated peach, passionfruit and lime flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak, finely balanced acidity and a long, dry (3 grams/litre of residual sugar) very harmonious finish. It's delicious now."

Central Otago 'Gibbston Valley' Pinot Noir 2015

- 94/100 (5 stars) Wine Orbit Magazine. "This is very, very good. The bouquet is beautifully fragrant showing red/black cherry, spice, floral and hints of thyme and savoury mushroom, followed by a succulent palate that's richly textured, superbly supported by plenty of polished tannins. The wine shows discreet power that we look for in a top-notch pinot. At its best: now to 2018."

LOT SEVEN Pinot Noir 2011

- 17.5/20. 50% whole bunch. 50 m from Omihi Rise vineyard. Dark crimson. Slightly peppery and spice. Dark and dense and then there's a juiciness that rides in on the finish. Dry and fine, papery. More pronounced acidity, especially on the finish. No additions. 14.2% Drink 2014-2020. Julia Harding MW,

LOT SEVEN Pinot Noir 2011

- 4 ½ Stars Cuisine Magazine
- 92/100 Wine Advocate issue # 197. "Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2009 Lot Seven Pinot Noir is slightly closed with subtle cranberry, pomegranate and spearmint aromas over earth and chocolate nuances. Medium bodied, it offers plenty of tight knit berry and spice flavors with crisp acid, medium level finely grained tannins and a long finish. Approachable now, it should benefit from another year in bottle and drink to 2016+." Lisa Perrotti-Brown,

OMIHI RISE Pinot Noir 2011

- 91+/100 Wine Advocate issue # 197. "The 2009 Omihi Rise Pinot Noir has a medium ruby-purple hue and youthfully mute aromas of red plums and red currants over macerated cherries, forest floor, black truffles and raw meat. Medium to full bodied, the palate is led by a solid structure of medium-firm grainy tannins and crisp acid with concentrated fruit and earth layers finishing long with the faintest suggestion of menthol. Approachable now, it should drink best 2012 to 2016+." Lisa Perrotti-Brown,

Waipara Pinot Noir 2011

- 93/100 (5 stars) Wine Orbit Magazine. “This is a stunning combination of power and grace. It's ripe, rich and complex on the nose displaying dark cherry, spice, cedar and mushroom characters. The palate is concentrated and dense with silky texture and fine, firm tannins. Already fabulously drinking but will mature to develop greater complexity. At its best: now to 2015.”

Canterbury Pinot Noir 2012

- Best Buy (2nd)& 94/100 – Wine Orbit Magazine “ The wine displays wonderful ripe fruit characters of cherries and plums. It’s beautifully fragrant on the nose leading to a juicy palate showing excellent mid-palate weight and dense texture. The fresh acidity provides an excellent balance to the lush fruit while ripe, compact tannins give firm structure to the wine. It was backward when first poured but got better and better with time in the glass. This is sensational Pinot Noir. At this best: now to 2010. Smart Buy

Waipara Riesling 2012

- 91 – 93/ 100 (4.5 Stars) Wine Orbit Magazine. “A single vineyard wine, this is a delightful and immensely charming Riesling made in the Mosel spätlese/auslese style, displaying lifted aromas of mandarin, apple and floral with a touch of flinty notes. The palate is delicate yet intensely flavoured with lush sweetness (50 g/l) and mouthwatering acidity. It finishes long and fine. This wine should evolve gracefully. At its best: now to 2019.”
